A buyer-side coordination role
How SchoolTransit Source handles a school bus brief
We organize procurement inputs and candidate factory responses for business buyers. We are not a manufacturer, authorized dealer, importer of record, fleet operator or regulator, and we do not claim supplier credentials as our own.

Our working record separates facts from open questions
| Record layer | What is captured | What remains to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Buyer requirement | Route, riders, seating, accessibility, powertrain, quantity and destination | Any undecided options or destination constraints |
| Supplier response | Quoted model/configuration, price basis, delivery scope and stated documents | Currency, Incoterm, exclusions, validity and exact-model applicability |
| Evidence request | Specification, ratings, seating drawing, model year and inspection material | Authenticity, current revision and relevance to the quoted vehicle |
| Buyer decision | Accepted trade-offs, inspection needs and commercial approvals | Contract, payment, import, registration and final acceptance |
This ledger is a coordination method, not proof that any factory, vehicle or document has already been approved.
Candidate identification does not equal endorsement. The buyer chooses the supplier and obtains professional advice for contracts, payment, inspection, import and registration. Where information is missing, we label it as an open item rather than converting an assumption into a claim.
Role boundaries in practical terms
Do you manufacture or stock school buses?
No. We help define the request and coordinate quotation comparison. Inventory and production availability require direct, current confirmation from the responding supplier.
Do you audit every factory?
No blanket audited-factory claim is made. If a buyer needs a document review, remote assessment or third-party factory audit, the scope must be agreed and the resulting evidence evaluated on its own terms.
Who confirms vehicle compliance?
The relevant supplier must provide exact-model materials, while qualified destination-side professionals and authorities determine applicability and acceptance. SchoolTransit Source does not certify vehicles.
What is compared beyond vehicle price?
Configuration, included equipment, inspection, inland transport, freight, duty assumptions, destination services, documents and timing all affect total procurement cost.
How is confidential information treated?
The inquiry should include the information needed for sourcing. Do not submit payment credentials or unnecessary sensitive records through the initial form; follow-on document exchange requires an agreed channel.
Bring a duty brief and mark every unknown
SchoolTransit Source can organize open questions alongside known requirements before candidate factory outreach.
